Account Deletion Policy

We respect your right to delete your account and data. Here we explain the process and what happens to your information.

1. How to Request Deletion

You can request account deletion in the following ways:

Option 1: From the application (Recommended)

Log in to your Arko account.
Go to Settings (gear icon).
Find the "Account" section.
Click "Delete account".
Confirm your decision by entering your password or authenticating again.

Option 2: By email

Send an email to legal@arcaelas.com with the subject "Account Deletion Request" and include:

The email address associated with your account.
Confirmation that you want to delete all your data.
Reason for deletion (optional, helps us improve).

2. Data That Gets Deleted

When you request account deletion, we permanently delete:

Data Type	Description
User Profile	Email, name, profile picture, and account settings.
Conversations	All chat history with all agents.
Agents	Configuration, personality, and parameters of all your agents.
Powers	All webhook configurations and external connections.
API keys	All generated API keys will be revoked and invalidated.
Memories	All context and memories saved by agents.

3. Data We May Retain

For legal, security, or technical reasons, we may retain certain data:

Temporarily retained data

Backups: Data may remain in our backups for up to 30 days after deletion.
Security logs: Anonymized activity logs may be retained for up to 90 days to detect abuse.

Data retained due to legal obligation

Transaction records: If you made payments, we must keep accounting records for the legally required period.
Legal communications: Correspondence related to disputes or legal requests.

4. Processing Time

Backup deletion

Grace period: You have 7 days after requesting deletion to cancel the process. After this period, deletion is irreversible.

5. Deletion Confirmation

Once the deletion process is complete:

You will receive an email confirming your account has been deleted.
You will not be able to access your account or recover any data.
Any associated API key will stop working immediately.
If you want to use Arko again, you will need to create a new account.

6. Before You Delete Your Account

Recommendations

Export your data: Download a copy of your conversations and agent configurations from Settings before deleting.
Revoke API keys manually: If you share integrations, make sure to update the systems that use them.
Consider pausing instead of deleting: If you just need a break, you can simply log out without deleting your account.
